Diet Solution Program Cuts Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
Over 80 percent of people with Type 2 diabetes, which is the most common type, are obese or overweight. Isabel De Los Rios says in her book about her Diet Solution program that this was one of the reasons she became a health and fitness expert. There is a strong incidence of Type 2 diabetes in her family. She set out at an early age to find out as much as he could about the disease and how to prevent it. She used much of this research when creating her popular diet and fitness program.
She learned that obesity interferes with insulin’s ability to control blood sugar and that eating healthy, fiber rich foods in the right amounts and cooked the right way improves blood sugar levels.
To prevent Type 2 diabetes, or to improve the disorder once it starts, the body mass index should be less than 27. Someone with a BMI of 27 or greater is considered overweight or obese.
